Position Summary:

The IT Manager is responsible for ensuring the streamlined operation of the IT Department in alignment with the business objectives of the organization.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Design, plan, implement & maintain VPN network infrastructure and configuration for multiple physical sites organization over commercial WAN links and equipment.
  • Design, plan, implement & maintain Windows virtual servers for multiple physical sites organization. Establish a secure windows domain network active directory structure over LAN and VPN WAN links.
  • Design, plan, implement, & maintain Windows workstations (thin and thick clients) in a domain environment over LAN and VPN WAN links for a multiple physical sites organization.
  • Troubleshoot and solve Windows Server and workstation issues to the registry level.
  • Respond to day to day technology support needs for all Janus management and staff in a timely manner and document results.
  • Create, plan, and provide training for staff in new areas and technologies as need arises.
  • Work with vendors, auditors, and government agencies as the primary contact to facilitate contract and agreements, and to provide technical assistance when required.
  • Ensure HIPAA and CARF compliance
  • Oversee the development, design, and implementation of new applications and changes to existing computer systems and software packages.
  • Responsible for the ordering, acquisition, inventorying, and disposition of hardware and software.
  • Maintain the integrity and continual operation of the IT network including the wireless networks.
  • Ensure the continual functioning of mission critical operations.
  • Maintain security and privacy of the information systems, communication lines, and equipment.
    • Firewall/​VPN administration
    • Anti-Virus and Malware intrusion prevention
    • Manage firewall site blocking and logs
  • Develop, review, and certify all back-up and disaster recovery procedures and plans.
  • Assists management in setting overall priorities and participates in IT planning and budgeting process
  • Leads the delivery of network and system administration services, including:
    • Network support
    • Active Directory and application permissions
    • VMware or Hyper-V infrastructure administration.​
    • Network backup configuration and administration
    • Application/​OS patches.​
    • Network and server performance and capacity
    • Windows server installation and administration
    • Provides telephone system support (including VOIP)
    • Provides security system support
    • Leads the delivery of application system support and related projects, including:
    • Application configuration, administration and upgrades
    • Requirements definition and management
  • Manages communications with end-users and management team
  • Maintains asset inventory (includes hardware, software and network configuration, license and maintenance information)
  • Develops and maintains IT operating procedures (e.​g.​ back-up and recovery, system monitoring, technology and privacy policy, etc.​)
  • Develop and monitor a log of network access and internet traffic

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 4 years experience with the implementation and management of technology for complex business networks.  Must be proficient in the installation, configuration and maintenance of all hardware and software currently employed by the agency.
  • BS in Computer Science or related field preferred.
  • Demonstrates basic clerical skills.
  • Demonstrates ability to interact respectfully with the public both in person and on the phone.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Bilingual preferred
