Job Information

Janus Community Clinic is a Medication Assisted Treatment Program providing services to approximately 300 patients.  Counselors see patients for individual and group sessions Monday through Friday.  The Clinic opens at 5:30 a.m and closes at 2:00 p.m. during the week.  Weekend hours are 6:00 a.m. to Noon.

Schedule:        Full Time with Full Benefits

  • Provide ASAM treatment assessments, treatment planning, counseling (individual) and case management services

Qualifications

  • Counselors must be certified  or have active intern status.
  • Experience in medication assisted therapy a plus.
  • Bilingual in Spanish required
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the pharmacology and physiologic effects of methadone.
  • Working knowledge of applicable portions of Title 9, CARF requirements, and Title 22.

Title On Call Counselor

Position Summary:
The Counselor is responsible for individual and group counseling for chemically dependent adults. Performs comprehensive client assessments, leads a variety of treatment and educational groups, develops and conducts individualized treatment plans and coordinates with community agencies.

Qualifications:
• Minimum two (2) years paid experience of providing direct substance abuse counseling services in an intensive setting.
• Certification or in-process of certification in drug and alcohol counseling or registration in a State of California approved certifying organization is required.
• MFT or MSW interns are encouraged to apply.
• Ability to pass criminal background investigation and drug test.
• CPR and First Aid Certification required.
• Annual Tuberculosis test (provided by Janus of Santa Cruz upon hire).
• Bi-lingual in Spanish/English highly desirable.

Title Treatment Technician I

Janus of Santa Cruz is seeking qualified applicants for Treatment Technician I in the Perinatal or Residential Treatment (PRT) Program.  The Treatment Technician I provides support services and general client supervision to the Perinatal  Residential Treatment and Recovery Programs and is a member of the clinical team.

 Schedule

part time and on-call coverage as needed.

Must be available to work nights and weekends.

Qualifications

  • Must have a knowledge of the dynamics of chemical dependency, self-help recovery programs;
  • Basic organizational/office skills;
  • Demonstrated competence in interacting with a broad range of individuals in a professional manner;
  • Good conflict resolution and communication skills;
  • Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner;
  • Ability to work as part of a treatment team;
  • Experience working in a residential treatment program is preferred but not required;
  • Bilingual in Spanish/English preferred but not required;
  • CPR and First Aid Certification required.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, safe driving record, and car.
