Janus of Santa Cruz is seeking qualified applicants for Treatment Technician I in the Perinatal or Residential Treatment (PRT) Program. The Treatment Technician I provides support services and general client supervision to the Perinatal Residential Treatment and Recovery Programs and is a member of the clinical team.
Schedule
part time and on-call coverage as needed.
Must be available to work nights and weekends.
Qualifications
- Must have a knowledge of the dynamics of chemical dependency, self-help recovery programs;
- Basic organizational/office skills;
- Demonstrated competence in interacting with a broad range of individuals in a professional manner;
- Good conflict resolution and communication skills;
- Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner;
- Ability to work as part of a treatment team;
- Experience working in a residential treatment program is preferred but not required;
- Bilingual in Spanish/English preferred but not required;
- CPR and First Aid Certification required.
- Must have a valid driver’s license, safe driving record, and car.

- Cognitive and intellectual capacity to comprehend and administer organization & program policies and procedures and program budgets,
- Personal and intellectual ability to collaborate and organize effectively, understand and work with complex systems, provide professional leadership to the multi-disciplinary team and manage a budget,
- Physical ability to safely perform job functions with or without the aid of mechanical devices. Note: this location is a two-story building with no elevator,
- Manual dexterity and gross motor skills sufficient to operate a computer or manually complete required documentation in a legible and timely manner,
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in language that can be readily understood by the majority of the program’s clients and staff,
- Ability to effectively perform job responsibilities in a high stress environment,
- Ability to utilize efficient, productive work habits:
- Establish appropriate priorities for timely and accurate completion of tasks,
- Complete all work within expected time frames,
- Consistently respond positively, with creative problem solving, to changing work environment demands and pressures,
- Identify problems proactively and offer constructive suggestions for corrective action,
- Take initiative and responsibility to obtain knowledge and skills to improve performance.
